Description
Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Crabill (and variant spellings) families who came mainly from Switzerland. Many were Mennonites, who escaped into the Rhine Valley, and later came to America. Some allied families came from Scotland. Focus is on (but not limited to) the descendants of John Crabill (b. 1720) who immigrated on the ship "Friendship" in 1727 to the Shenandoah Valley in Pennsylvania. John married Monna Beunger, and had six children: Christian, Abraham, John, Benjamin, David, and Magdeline. John's grandson, David Crabill married Mary Keller and was the first postmaster in Toms Brook, Virginia. During the 1800's, some Crabills moved to Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, and Ohio. Later descendants also lived in Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Idaho, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Washington D.C., Wyoming, and elsewhere.
