Description
Chiefly, a record of 16 generations of descendants of Sir John Barley, a Knight, who was the son of Sir Simon de Barley, a Knight who was rewarded for his good service to William the Conqueror in the battle of Hastings, 14 October 1066. Sir John was married to Arrabella Dethick. Arrabella is a daughter of Sir Richard Dethick. They had two children, Sir Robert Barley and Anne Barley. Sir Robert Barley married a daughter to Sir Uginall of Brelsford, Co. Derby. Anne Barley married Sir Jno. Wensley of Wensley.
