Biographies of John Nilson (1832-1921) and his wife, Charity Hunsaker Nilson (1840-1930), who were married in 1858 in Medora, Indiana and who died in Carl Junction, Missouri. Includes photocopy reproduction of the journal and letters written by John Nilson during the Civil War, in which he served with Indiana Volunteer Infantry, beginning as a corporal and ending as a captain. Includes short biographical sketches of direct descendants, many of whom were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
