Description
John McFarland (1779-1840), son of John and Jane McFarland, married Elizabeth Irwin in Ireland, ca. 1801. He and his family immigrated to America with his widowed mother and other family members, ca. 1804, and settled in Chancefore Township, York County, Pennsylvania. John and Elizabeth had at least six, maybe eleven children. The family moved to Antis (now Snyder) Township, ca. 1822. Their son, Archibald Irwin McFarland (1809-1852), married Nancy Brenneman (1811-1888) in 1835 in Snyder Township, Blair County, Pennsylvania. They had seven children, 1836-1852. John and Elizabeth McFarland and Archibald and Nancy McFarland are all buried at Birmingham, Pennsylvania. .
Description
John Weston (ca. 1720-1792) and his wife, Agnes, were married ca. 1745. They had ten children. The family settled in Juniata Township, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, ca. 1765. Their son, Thomas Weston (1756-1820) and Mary Graffius (1759-1838), daughter of Martin Graffius (1722-1790), a Huguenot, were married ca. 1783. They settled at Warriors Mark Township, ca. 1785. Their grandson, Thomas Weston (1826-1906), son of Elijah Weston (1798-1874), married Lucinda Crocker (1833-1914) in 1854. They had ten children, 1856-1871. Thomas Watson died at Port Matilad, Pennsylvania.
Description
Henry Getz/Gates (ca. 1755-1834) married twice and was the father of seventeen children. He and his family settled in Ferguson Township, Centre County, Pennsylvania, ca. 1801. His grandson, Henry Gates (1821-1901), son of Emanuel Gates (1800-1865) married twice and was the father of ten children. He died at Port Matilda, Pennsylvania.
