Jacob Rees, son of John Rees and Mary Spoor, was born 24 March 1768 in Massachusetts. He married Anna Gillett, daughter of Simeon Gillett and Rebecca Andrews, 2 January 1791. They had ten children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Massachusetts, New York, Indiana and Michigan. Includes Huntly, Zieger and related families. Includes background on the family name in Wales, France and Germany.
