Description
Robert Allen married Anne Gillespie, daughter of Samuel Gillespie and Esther Raney, 19 October 1797 in Orange County, New York. They had eight children. Their son, John Allen (1800-1872), married Phebe Butler (1806-1887), daughter of Daniel Butler, in about 1829. They had four children. John died in 1872 in Amity Township, Erie County, Pennsylvania. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Pennsylvania. Includes Baldwin, Reno, Richards and Whitney.
