Some focus is on descendants of Michael Kleber or Clever (d. 1757) and his wife, Ann Elisabeth (d. 1757) who settled in the Bethel area ca. 1730, along Swatara Creek, Lancaster County now known as Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. Three of their children were Heinrich, John Martin, and John Bernhardt Clever. Other Clevers also lived in Cleverville (now known as Champion), Alberta, Canada. During the 1800s, some moved to Prince Edward Island (Canada), and to Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Tennessee, Virginia, and Washington D.C. Later descendants also lived in elsewhere in Alberta, and in British Columbia (Canada). Others lived in Alabama, California, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota,Texas, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and elsewhere. Information was transcribed and extracted from baptismal, birth, census, church, court, land, marriage, and military records, newspaper clippings, obituaries, pensions, probates, reunion reports, shared genealogies and family history sketches, ship passenger records, Social Security Death records, wills, and other sources.
