Description
John Hawley was born in 1686. He married Hester Burch, daughter of John Burch, in 1712 in Accokeek, Maryland. They had three sons. He died in 1755 in Charles County, Maryland. Descendant, William Carl Hawley, was born 18 October 1837 in Reedsville, West Virginia. He married Caroline Sharps (1840-1912), daughter of John Sharps and Susannah McGee, in 1855. They had eight children. He died in 1923 in Gresham, Nebraska. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Maryland, Iowa and Nebraska.
