Description
Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Hambrook (and variant spellings) families who came mainly from Kent and other counties in England. Some allied families came from Ireland and Scotland. Some focus is on (but not limited to) descendants of Mark Webb Hambrook (1805-1874), a.k.a. Marsh William Hambrook who emigrated from England to settle in Miramichi, Northumberland County, New Brunswick, Canada in 1831. He married Ann Connors of Upper Blackville. They had eight children: Mary, Catherine, John, William, Mark, James, Thomas, and Alfred. Other Hambrook families include Alfred Webb Hambrook (1866-1942) and his wife Emily Evelyn Johnson (1870-1941); Charles Hambrook (1814-1877) and his wife Mary Ann Hole; William Hambrook (b. 1781) of Goodnestone and his wife Catherine Quested; and many others. During the 1800s, Hambrook families lived in British Columbia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Ontario (Canada), Argentina, Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, and in the Dakota Territory, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, and Pennsylvania. Later descendants also lived in Alberta, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, Quebec, and Saskatchewan (Canada), Belgium, England, Wales, and in Alaska, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, and elsewhere.
