James Henry Rickman was born 21 April 1828. He married Eliza Jane Faubion (1831-1910), daughter of John Faubion and Sarah Ann, in 1850 in Clay County, Missouri. They had ten children. He died in 1880 in Plum Grove, Kansas. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Kansas, Missouri, Iowa and California.
