Description
James Madison Merryman, son of Presley Merryman, was born in about 1809 in Caroline County, Virginia. He married his first wife and had four children. He married Elizabeth Sample, daughter of Alexander Sample and Mary Pistole, in 1848 in Marengo County, Alabama. They had two children. He died in about 1856 in Robertson County, Texas. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in England, Virginia and Texas.
