Description
Edward Riddle (1758-1826) was born at sea during his parents' voyage from England to Philadelphia (his father died during the voyage). Edward's mother lived in Philadelphia, and then moved to Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, where she married again. Edward married twice, served in the Revolutionary War, and moved to land near Wheeling, Virginia (now West Virginia). Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Michigan, Kansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, California, Washington and elsewhere.
