Description
Mark Frederick Steen (1821-1906) was born in 1821 at Rohwinkel, Holstein. He married Dorothea Rehpening in 1846. They followed their sons to Iowa in 1873. Francis McCune was born in 1800 near Belfast, Northern Ireland. He married Ann Walker in 1820. They immigrated to America and eventually settled in Ohio. Their son, Robert James (1835-1885), married Sarah Matilda Winn in 1856 at Dresden, Ohio. They later moved to Iowa. Descendants lived in Iowa, Oregon, Saskatchewan, Illinois, and elsewhere.
