General Note
Biographical information of Abner Lacock, born near Alexandria, Virginia on 9 July 1770. He was a Representative in Congress from Pennsylvania 1811-1813, and United States Senator 1813-1819. He died in Beaver County, Pennsylvania 12 April 1837. Includes detailed accounts of his service in the American government. Abner Lacock's library was one of the largest in Western Pennsylvania and a large part of it and many valuable papers were destroyed by a flood in 1832. Also includes a physical description of Abner Lacock. He was married and had three sons and four daughters.
