Description
Periodical for the interchange of genealogical data and history for descendants of the Mayflower Pilgrims, John Alden (ca. 1600-1687) and Pricilla Mullins (Mullens, Molines) who were married in Plymouth, and settled in Duxbury, Massachusetts ca. 1627. Their ancestors came from England, the Netherlands, and Normandy. Their children were born from 1622-1649, and were named John, Elizabeth, Joseph, Sarah, Jonathan, Mary, Pricilla, David, Ruth, and Rebecca. Many of their family were buried in the Old Burying Grounds (Standish Cemetery). Descendants lived throughout the United States of America. Focus of this periodical is on descendants in the Midwest, including members in Arizona, Calilfornia, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Massachusetts, Michigan, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. Information contains notices and articles about anniversaries, appointments and recognitions, biographical sketches, births, deaths, engagements, illnesses, lineages, marriages, meetings and reunions, obituaries, personals, and other items of historical interest.

Issuing Body
The Midwest Chapter of the Alden Kindred of America was founded in December 1911, organized in November 1912, and incorporated in April 1913. It is a chapter of the Alden Kindred of America, which was founded in September 1902 by Miss A. Ellen Alden of Avon, Massachusetts. In April 1906, the parent organization was incorporated as the Alden Kindred of America, Inc., and was later known as the National Society of Alden Kindred of America, Inc., and the Alden Kindred of New York City and Vicinity.
