Charles Peter Evens or Peter Charles Sebire, son of John or Pierre Sebire, was born in 1827 in St. Helier, Jersey. He married Jane McKeown (1839-1927), daughter of James McKeown and Rachel Haney, in 1881 in Parramatta, New South Wales. They had eleven children.
