Description
George Washington Ragan, son of Daniel Franklin Ragan (1808-1872) and Harriet Frances Glenn (1821-1892), was born in 1846 in Gaston County, North Carolina. He married Amanda Zoe Reid in 1883. They had three daughters. He married Bettie Caldwell in 1897. They had six children.
