Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Cooper (and variant spellings) families who came mainly from England, Ireland, and Scotland. Some allied families came from Great Britain, Denmark, Germany, Norway, and Prussia. One early ancestor was Peter Cooper of Durham. In the 1600s, some Coopers settled in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Virginia. In the 1700s, some settled in Canada, and in Delaware, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Vermont, and West Virginia. During the 1800s, some moved to Alabama, Arkansas, California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, Washington D.C., and Wisconsin. Later descendants and relatives also lived in Alberta, Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia (Canada), India, and in Arizona, Idaho, Minnesota, Montana, Utah, Wyoming, and elsewhere.
