Description
Periodical for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Alden families whose families came mainly from England and the Netherlands. Some focus is on descendants of the Pilgrims, John Alden (ca. 1600-1687) and Pricilla Mullins (Mullens, Molines) who were married in Plymouth, and settled in Duxbury, Massachusetts ca. 1627. Born from 1622-1649, their children were John, Elizabeth, Joseph, Sarah, Jonathan, Mary, Pricilla, David, Ruth, and Rebecca. Many of their family were buried in the Old Burying Grounds (Standish Cemetery). Descendants lived throughout the United States of America.

Issuing Body
The Alden Kindred of America was founded in September 1902 by Miss A. Ellen Alden of Avon, Massachusetts. In April 1906, it was incorporated as the Alden Kindred of America, Inc. The organization was also known as the National Society of Alden Kindred of America, Inc. In July 1945, its name was changed to the Alden Kindred of New York City and Vicinity, although it's still known as Alden Kindred of America, Inc. Headquarters are at the John Alden House Historic Site in Duxbury, Massachusetts. For back issues, current issues, and other information, see their Web site.
