Some Overholsers were Loyalists who immigrated to Ontario, Quebec, and Upper Canada; others moved to California, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Nebraska, Ohio, and Pennsylvania in the 1700-1800's. Later descendants and relatives also lived in British Columbia (Canada), England, and in Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and elsewhere.
