Description
Periodical for the interchange of genealogical data and history about Seward (and variant spellings) families who came mainly from England, Germany, Ireland, Prussia, and Wales. Some allied families came from Denmark, England, Germany, Holland, and Sweden. In the 1600's, some Sewards immigrated Barbados and St. Christopher (West Indies), and to Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, and Virginia. In the 1700's, some settled in Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio (many in Butler and Hamilton Counties), Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Vermont. During the 1800's, some moved to Canada, and to Alabama, Arkansas, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Oregon, Tennessee, and Texas. Later descendants also lived in Ontario (Canada), Mexico, and in Arizona, Montana, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and elsewhere. Some legally changed their names from Seward to West.
