Description
Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Wood and Woods families who came mainly from England, Germany, Holland, Ireland and Scotland. Early ancestors settled in Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Virginia in the 1600's. In the 1700's, some also settled in Nova Scotia (Canada), and in Georgia, Kentucky, Maine, New Jersey, North and South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Vermont, and Wisconsin. During the 1800's, some migrated to Ontario (Canada), and to Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington D.C., and West Virginia. Some records include those with Cherokee, and African American bloodlines. Later descendants and relatives also lived in China, in Mexico, in Saskatchewan (Canada), and in Alaska, California, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington, and elsewhere. Some focus is on (but not limited to) the descendants of William "Bill" H. Woods, who moved from Scottsville, Kentucky to Bolivar, Missouri in 1887.
