Biographical sketch of Lewis Ring (ca.1805-1885), who married Jane (Jennie) Hogg in Maury (later Marshall) County, Tennessee. Most of the book deals with family history and genealogy of descendants living in Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas and elsewhere. Includes some ancestry living in North Carolina and Illinois.
