Description
Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Alborn (and variant spellings) families who came mainly from England.Some focus is on (but not limited to) the family of Edward Allbones and Anna Whelpton of Lincolnshire, England. Their children were William, Edward (1814-1892), Mary, John (1819/20-1877), Henry, and Joseph. In 1854, Edward the younger immigrated to Ontario, Wayne County, New York. He was accompanied by a Henry Alborn who drowned in Lake Ontario in 1867. One descendant's life story is featured, Rev. George Clarence Alborn, who married Ida Grace Hubbell. During the 1800s, some Alborns lived in England, New Zealand, Missouri, and New York. Later descendants also lived in Australia, Canada, Japan, Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), Switzerland, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, and elsewhere. Information is primarily shared genealogies and transcripts of baptismal, burial, census, death, inventory, marriage, obituary, parish, and pension records, and wills.
