Description
Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Van Schaick (and variant spellings) families who came mainly from England and Holland. Some focus is on (but not limited to) descendants of Cornelius Aertsen Van Schaick was born ca. 1610 in Woerden, Netherlands. He immigrated to New Amsterdam ca. 1636. His wife was Belitje Hendrickse. Cornelius died in 1669, in New Amsterdam, New Netherlands (now New York). In the 1700-1800s, some descendants of Cornelius, and other Van Schaick ancestors moved to California, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. Later descendants also lived in New Brunswick (Canada), and in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Montana, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Washington, and elsewhere.
