Description
Descendants of Vinett Fine of Shenandoah Valley, Va. and allied families, pioneers of Washington County, Arkansas. "Vinett, the second son of Phillip Peter who was killed by Indians in 1738, left a wife (name unknown) and six children."--P. 10. He died " ... in the mountains of North Carolina (Haywood Co.)."--P. 6, on what became known as Fine's Creek in Fine's Creek Township. Descendants lived in Tennessee, Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma and elsewhere.
