Description
James Ensign emigrated about 1630/35 from England to Massachusetts. His wife was Sarah Elson. They had four children. Traces descendants through their son, David, who was born in 1644/5 in Hartford, Connecticut. He married Mehitable Gunn (1644-1708) in about 1664. They had five children. They divorced and David married Sarah Long Wilcox, daughter of Thomas Long and Mary Elmers, and they had one son, David (1688-1759). Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, Vermont, Utah and California.
