Numbering Peculiarities
Whole issue designations added beginning with vol. 4 no. 3 = issue 12 (Mar 1984). Volume and number designations discontinued after vol. 5 no. 3 = issue 15 (Mar 1985). Vol. 5 no. 2 = issue 14 (Nov 1984) was misnumbered as issue 16.
Description
Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Smith families who came mainly from Belgium, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Prussia, Russia, and Scotland. Some allied families also came from Sweden and Switzerland. Some immigrated to Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, and Virginia in the 1700's. After the Revolutionary War, some settled in Ontario and New Brunswick (Canada). During the 1800's, some moved to Quebec (Canada), Cuba, and Alabama, Arkansas, California, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. Some had Cherokee and other American Indian bloodlines. Later descendants also lived in British Columbia (Canada), Australia, and in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Michigan, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Washington, Wyoming, and elsewhere.
