Supplements 1-2 (tempbound separately) are to work entitled: A history of the Otstot(t) family in America : also being a guide to the descendants of Jost and Katherine Otstadt / by Charles Mathieson Otstot. Arlington, Va. : C.M. Otstot, c1973 (Baltimore, Md. : Gateway Press).
Description
Supplement 1 is chiefly additions, with a few corrections, discovered during 1974 to the above work. Supplement 2 contains chiefly major new material related to the family lines of Mary Margaret Otstott Wade (11911) and Mary Jane Otstot Ellinger (1424). Mary Margaret was a daughter of Francis Marion Otstott and Sarah C. Hunt, born in Nebraska and raised in Illinois. Mary Margaret married Lee Wade and they lived chiefly in Athens, Illinois (after his death, she lived with a child in Antioch, California). Mary Jane Otstot was a daughter of Jacob Otstot and Anna McBride, probably born in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. She married William Ellinger about 1857; he married again after she died in 1873, and about 1876 moved the family to Illinois. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, Illinois Nebraska, Kansas, California and elsewhere.
