Description
John Fairman (d.1684), the progenitor of the families traced in this genealogy, moved from Salem, Massachusetts to Enfield, Connecticut in 1682/1683, and was probably a son of English immigrant John Firmin of Watertown, Massachusetts. His wife, Elizabeth, and their five children, survived his death. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New York, Illinois, Missouri and elsewhere.
