Description
Christopher Thomas (1609-1670) was born in Kent County, England, the son of Tristram Thomas. He immigrated to Virginia in 1635; stayed in Virginia, for a short time, and then settled in Talbot County, Maryland, where he died. His son, Tristram Thomas (1633-1686), married Anne Coursey. Description
"The work of several years by Everett Eri Thomas, in compiling the ancestry of his grandfather, resulted in the publication of the book "Amos Thomas family tree." A substantial part of the data in that volume, especially the data covering later generations, came from extensive correspondence with relatives. Another body of information, relating to earlier generations, was obtained through the use of profession genealogists. The purposes of this volume are: 1) to make available ... a large amount of information in genealogists' reports which was not used in Mr. Thomas' book; 2) to provide interesting background material to help round out genealogical skeletons; 3) to provide source references and 4) to provide a bibliography of writings containing references to Christopher Thomas and his descendants. ...".
