Description
Josiah Wood (fl.1741-1792) patented 400 acres on Buck Mountain Creek in Albemarle County, Virginia. David Wood (ca.1750-1816), one of his two sons, married Mildred Walker Lewis in 1781, and lived on the same land. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, California and elsewhere.
