Description
William Richey (ca. 1700-1775) immigrated to America ca. 1725. He settled first in Pennsylvania; migrated to Maryland then Virginia. His son, James Richey (1745-1831), a Revolutionary War soldier, and his wife, Jane, had nine children, 1768-1785. The family migrated from Spreading Spring, Boutetort County, Virginia, to Fayette County, Kentucky, in 1781. Descendants listed lived in Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, and elsewhere.
