Description
William Andrew Cazier Bryan (1849-1948), a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, was born in Salt Lake City, Utah just four days after the wagon train had arrived in which his parents had traveled. Those parents were Charles H. Bryan and and Miranda Cazier. In 1868, William married Elizabeth J. Parkes, who had immigrated from England with her widowed mother and family. They settled in Nephi, Utah, where he ran the telegraph office and was active in local church and civic affairs. In 1875-1876, he served a mission in England. After Elizabeth died in 1891, he married Anna Anna Rolfson in 1892. He went east to attend Cornell University's law school at Ithaca, New York between 1894-1895, emerged as a lawyer and returned to practice in Nephi and throughout the state. When Anna died in 1920, he married Hannah Rasmussen in 1924. He died at the age of 99-1/2 years in February 1948. Descendants and relatives lived in Utah, California, Tennessee and elsewhere.
