Description
The oldest ancestors of Marion Stark Craig and Robert Andrew Craig, seem to be Albert Andriessen Bradt and his first wife, Annetje Barents (1612-1662) of Schleswig-Holstein. They immigrated to New Netherlands in 1636. Albert had two more wives before he died in 1664. Parents were Marion Craig, Sr. and his first wife, Mary Case. Includes Byers, Engles, Quick and related families.
Description
James Craig (ca.1745-1781), possibly an immigrant from northern Ireland, served in the Revolutionary War, married Rhoda Niblick, and lived in Abbeville County, South Carolina. Descendants, some ancestors, and relatives lived in South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, New England, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky, Arkansas and elsewhere. Other ancestors lived in Ireland, England, The Netherlands and elsewhere. Includes Aten, Consalus-Duk, DeVos, Quick, Ridgway, Start and related families.

Ancestry traced to John Craig, son of James Craig and Rhoda Niblock, who married Elizabeth Andrews in 1795 in Rowan County, North Carolina; Samuel Byers (ca. 1719-1796) who settled in Washington County, Pennsylvania; John Scott who married Agnes Reed in 1760 in Rowan County, North Carolina; and John Shannon who married Sarah Reid ca. 1739 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Includes Andrews, Byers, Niblock, Shannon, Reed, and related families.
