Description
Bulletin for the collection and interchange of genealogical data and family history about Wilcox individuals and families within the United States and Canada. Samuel Allen Wilcox (1819-1898) was a direct descendant in the seventh generation of English immigrant John Wilcox (1614-1676), who immigrated to Middletown, Middlesex County, Connecticut. Samuel Allen Wilcox was born in Norfolk, Laurence County, New York and immigrated with his parents to Mountain, Ontario Province in Canada. He married Martha Parker in 1838, and they became converts to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1839. They immigrated to Nauvoo, Illinois about 1840, and later moved (via Iowa) to Cedar Fort, Utah County, Utah. Descendants and relatives lived in Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon and elsewhere. Includes officers and minutes of the Samuel Allen Wilcox Family Organization, with headquarters at Thornton, Idaho.
