Description
Periodical for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Meyer (and variant spellings) families who came mainly from France, Germany, and Switzerland. In the 1700's, some immigrated to Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. During the 1800's, some moved to Canada, and to Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. Later descendants also lived in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Washington, Washington D.C., Wyoming, and elsewhere. Some adoptions, aliases, legal name changes, military service, and other special situations are mentioned.
Supplement
Vol. 1 no. 2, and [possibly] other issues have supplements. One supplement was entitled: Founding fathers : a companion feature of "The Meyer mirror" (spring/summer 1980), which features Meyer immigrants to the United States with and their first and second generations born in the United States. The second supplement was entitled: Page from our past : a companion feature of "The Meyer mirror," which features transcripts and excerpts from local, county, state, and federal sources, such as Bible records, church records, cemeteries, census, land and property records, vital records, etc.

Issuing Body
On the title page of vol. 1 no. 3 (fall 1980), the front page article was credited as "by Charles W. Myers . . . Secretary, Myers Family Association." The Myers Family Association was organized before fall 1980.
