Description
Periodical for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Andrus (and variant spellings), especially the descendants of Ruluf Andrus (1773-1849) and his wife, Azuba Smith (1777-1830). Their families and relatives came mainly from Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Virginia in the 1700s. During the 1800s, some moved to Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, New Mexico, Ohio, Texas, and Utah. Ruluf and Azuba had thirteen children. One of their sons, Milo Andrus (1814-1893) was converted to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He migrated with the Latter-day Saint pioneers to Salt Lake City, Utah, and later settled in Oxford, Idaho. Some of his wives were Jane Munday, Margaret Boyce, Abigail Jane Daley, and Emma Covert. Later descendants lived mainly in Idaho and Utah. Others also lived in Alberta (Canada), Africa, and in California, Florida, New Jersey, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and elsewhere.
Supplement
A supplement by Berywn J. Andrus lists all issues published. The supplement also shows the content of each issue, and analytics of previous filmings by the Genealogical Society of Utah.
