Description
Charles Finley was born at Glasgow, Scotland, in 1736, the son of John and Mary Oglivie Finley. He migrated to Dublin, Ireland, and in 1767, immigrated to America, where he settled prior to 1775 in or near Hillsboro, North Carolina. He and his second wife, Sarah Nancy McDowell, had nine children, 1775-1791. He died at Hillsboro in 1836. Descendants lived in North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and elsewhere.

Also includes Finleys in Scotland and Ireland, and children of John Finley (1730-1809), a cousin of Charles Finley, who immigrated to Pennsylvania in 1748 and died in Virginia.
Description
Also contains "Walter Wyatt's line of descent through the Wyatt family" inserted at end (2 leaves). Showing descent from Henry Wyatt (d. before 1840) of Orange County, New York, to Walter Wyatt. He was born in Savannah, Georgia, in 1893, the son of Walter and Sarah Caroline Hodnett Wyatt. He was living in Washington, D.C. at the time this typescript was made (after 1941).
