Volume designation were discontinued after 1985. Thereafter only whole issue numbers are assigned from no. 8 (1986) to no. 19 (1989). No. 11/12, no. 15/16, and no. 17/18 are double issues.
Description
Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Heard (and variant spellings) families who came mainly from England, Northern Ireland, and Scotland. Some immigrated to Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Virginia in the 1600's. In the 1700's, some settled in Alabama, Delaware, Georgia, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, and West Virginia. During the 1800's, some moved to Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma (Indian Territory), and Texas. Later descendants also lived in Arizona, Minnesota, Nevada, Rhode Island, Washington, and elsewhere. Includes names of slaves.
