David Deal was born 12 May 1791 in Shippensburg, Cumberland, Pennsylvania. His parents were Felix Diehl and Dorothea Elizabeth Steinle. He married Nancy Anne Grove in 1812 in Pennsylvania. She was born 12 April 1793 in Adams County, Pennsylvania and died 7 February 1883 in Shippensburg, Cumberland, Pennsylvania. David died 3 August 1861 in Shippensburg, Cumberland, Pennsylvania. They had 12 children. Ancestors and descendants lived mainly in Germany, Pennsylvania, Ohio, California, and elsewhere.
