Isaac Zimmerman (1838-1903), the youngest of five children, immigrated with his parents from Germany to land near Berne, Indiana in 1849. Others of his brothers and sisters followed. Descendants and relatives lived in Indiana, Illinois, Kansas and elsewhere.
