Description
"I have tentatively concluded that Joseph Hyten/Hyton/Heighton Sr. (to differentiate him from the next Joseph) is the head of our family tree. To reach that conclusion requires a litle 'creative' deduction. While it seems there is a path that leads one from Joseph Hyten Sr. to Joseph Heighton and his sons who spell their name Hyten, it cannot be said for certain that this is a direct descendancy." (P.6 at beginning). Joseph Hyten Sr. and his wife, Sara, had a daughter Cloe in 1773 in Prince Georges County, Maryland. Descendants and relatives lived in Maryland, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Arkansas, Texas, Arizona and elsewhere.
