Description
"Henry Hayes, the oldest of our ancestors from whom we can definitely trace a lineage, was of Epwell, Oxon County, England., where he died on December 9th, 1634 ... His wife's name was Isabella."--P. 40 "Henry Hayes, son of Richard [and grandson of Henry d. 1634], was baptized on May 23, 1667, in Spelsburg parish church, Oxfordshire, England. His first wife's name was Margaret ... It is probable that Margaret was the mother of the six children brought with to America and Rachel may have been the mother of the remainder, as there were 16 in all. He immigrated to West Chester County, Pennsylvania, in 1705 ... "--P. 44. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, Ohio, Minnesota, Kansas, California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho and elsewhere.
