Description
Periodical for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Riley (and variant spellings) families who came mainly from England, France, Germany, Holland, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. In the 1700's, some settled in Connecticut, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, and Virginia. During the 1800's, some settled in New Brunswisk, Nova Scotia, and Ontario (Canada), and in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Delaware, Idaho, Illinois, Indian Territories, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, Washington, Washington D.C., West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. Later descendants also lived in Alberta and Manitoba (Canada), and in Montana, Nebraska, Oregon, South Dakota, and elsewhere. Some had Cherokee Indian bloodlines. Some had African American bloodlines. Some changed their surname from Riley to Murr(e)y.
