Description
Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Dout (and variant spellings) families who were mainly English, French, and German Huguenot immigrants in Holland. Some immigrated to Massachusetts, New York, and Pennsylvania in the 1700s. During the 1800s, some moved to California, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. Some focus is on (but not limited to) descendants of John or Johann Dout or Dautt (1778-1830), and his first wife Elisabeth, and their children, Ruben, Daniel Seymour, John H., Absalom, Solomon, Catherine, and Salome. After Elisabeth's death, John married Catherine Good or Gut, and had three more children, Amon, Amos, and Aaron. John's family lived in Pennsylvania in the counties of Lehigh, Schuylkill, Northumberland, Butler, and Beaver. Many of his descendants, relatives, and other Doutt families still live in Missouri and Pennsylvania. Other descendants also lived in Japan, and in Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Idaho, Louisiana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, and elsewhere.
