Description
Mary Gladys Jordan was born September 13, 1912 in Anson County, North Carolina. Her parents were Oscar Stamel Jordan and Hallie Elizabeth Walters. Mary was adopted by Rev. J.F. Sells and Betty Smith February 10, 1923 in Stanly County, North Carolina. She married Jethro Benson Thompson 26 May 1932 in Bennettsville, Marlboro, South Carolina. They had two children. Ancestors lived mainly in North Carolina.
