Description
Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Appler (and variant spellings) families who immigrated in the 1700s from England and Germany, some as Palatinate immigrants, including (but not limited to) Erhart Apler (or Eberhart Ebler), his wife Rachel, their son Jacob, and Jacob's wife, Mary Hyde who landed in Philadelphia ca. 1737 and settled in Prince Georges (now Frederick) County, Maryland. Other progenitors featured are Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, Dr. David, Jesse, Jonathan, Margaret Appler Weaver, Nancy Appler Senseney, the Canadian branch, and others. The historic Erhart Appler Homestead was built near Uniontown, Maryland, where Erhart died in 1768. During the 1800s, some Applers moved to Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma (Indian Territory), Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington D.C. Later descendants also lived in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, and Ontario (Canada), Germany, the Philippines, and in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, West Virginia, Wyoming, and elsewhere. Information included is primarily adoptions, births, marriages, deaths, and other important events in the lives of contemporary members and their ancestors as early as 1700.
