Description
Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Anson (and variant spellings) families who immigrated to America in the 1600-1800's. They came mainly from Austria, Denmark, England, France, Ireland, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Scotland and Wales. Some focus is on (but not limited to) the Austin brothers, Silas, Levinus, Job, John, and Jonathan who left England to settle in Connecticut in the 1600's. Some of the Austin brothers changed their surname to Anson. Around the time of the American Revolution, some moved into Canada and New York. In the 1700's, Anson and Austin families lived in Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. During the 1800's, some moved to California, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowas, Idaho, Kansas, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, North & South Carolina, Vermont, and Wisconsin. Later descendants also lived in England, and in Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Oklahoma, and elsewhere.
