Description
Sarah Tremain, born 30 June 1795, in Sheffield, Berkshire, Massachusetts, to Elijah and Mary Tremain. She married Ransom Riggs 30 March 1814 at Yorktown. They settled in Livingston County, New York. Ransom Riggs was the third son of Jeremiah and Anna Riggs. He was born at Litchfield, Conn., March 6, 1789. Nine children were born to this union. In the spring of 1822 the family moved to Indiana. Sarah died January 8, 1853 in Johnson County Indiana. Ransom died January 16, 1863.
Description
Most descendants of this family are found in Indiana.
